Why this shelf

Kids Joke And Activity Books Are One Of The Steadiest Corners Of KDP

Children outgrow them and get bought another. Grandparents buy them without asking. Teachers buy them in threes. It is not a trend — it is a shelf that refills itself.

Here is everything it takes to put one book on that shelf.

1keyword to start
24–60pages, your call
336jokes at the largest setting

Those three numbers describe the work, not a result. GiggleDeck makes books; what any book earns is down to your cover, your listing and your niche — nothing here is a promise of sales or income.

The part nobody warns you about

Anyone Can Ask AI For Jokes. Turning Them Into A Book Is Different.

Fifty jokes take ten seconds. Then the real work starts, and none of it is writing.

  • Deciding which jokes go on which page, and where the activities land
  • Page 3 comes out gouache, page 19 comes out photoreal — the chat forgot
  • Opening Canva thirty times to lay text onto artwork
  • Working out a spine width to four decimal places, then having KDP reject it

Most Publishers Can Already Generate Content. What They Need Is A Faster Way To Turn It Into Books.

The bottleneck was never the writing. It was the deciding, the keeping-it-consistent and the print geometry. That is the part GiggleDeck removes.

When speed matters

Let GiggleDeck Organise Everything

Auto mode fills every decision with a setting that works, so a first book needs one keyword and nothing else.

  • Page count, jokes per page and activity balance
  • Trim size and the cover geometry that goes with it
  • Section themes spread so page 20 is not page 3 again
  • Front matter, answers page and a write-your-own page at the back

Customise Every Part Of The Book

Switch to Manual and every choice opens up — for aiming at a particular niche, matching a series you already publish, or hitting a page count exactly.

  • 24 to 60 pages, 3 to 6 jokes a page, 0 to 10 activity pages — up to 336 jokes in one book
  • Reader age, language, title, pen name
  • Four core trim sizes, from 6 × 9 in to 8.5 × 11 in
  • Print-ready mode, or artwork-only if you typeset yourself
Words are only half the book

GiggleDeck Builds The Visual Side Too

Twelve palettes, eighteen art directions, five borders, three detail levels. Every one of them written into every image prompt, so thirty pages come back as one book.

3 editions × 18 art directions × 12 palettes × 5 borders × 3 detail levels. Multiply it yourself — that is why two books from the same keyword never look alike.

Not “and many more”

Twelve Palettes, Each Locked To Five Exact Colours

The five hex values go into every single image prompt. That lock is the reason page 30 still matches page 1.

From One Keyword… To One Complete Kids Joke Book

01

Enter your keyword

Type Dinosaurs, Sharks or Pirates. Pick an edition and a palette, or let Auto choose. The page map fills in front of you and tells you how many messages the book will take before you send a single one.

Step 1 — the keyword field, with the page map already counting 30 pages, 110 jokes and 35 messages
[ img/step-1-keyword.png ]
02

Generate in your own ChatGPT

Copy the content prompts, paste them into ChatGPT, paste the answers back. Send the style anchor once and check the reference image. Then copy the page prompts one at a time — the queue keeps your place, marks each done and tells you what to send next.

Step 6 — the image queue, thirty page prompts in order with the cover prompt underneath
[ img/step-2-queue.png ]
03

Assemble and publish

Drop the finished images back in. Each page is redrawn at 300 DPI and written into an interior PDF; the cover is built at KDP's wraparound size with the spine computed from your page count. Two files, ready to upload.

Step 7 — the assembler, with the thirty page slots, the trim and bleed settings and both PDF buttons

Real Pages Created With GiggleDeck

Buyers in this market have seen hundreds of these pages and can tell a mock-up from an output. Real pages, with their small imperfections, sell better than perfect ones that are not yours.

Where the books go

Turn One Keyword Into Multiple Publishing Opportunities

Amazon KDP

Paperback in four core trim sizes, with the wraparound cover geometry and the spine width computed for each.

Etsy printables

Sell the interior PDF as an instant download. No printing, no postage, no stock.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Activity pages and colouring editions are exactly what that market buys.

Classroom sets

Print the B&W edition thirty times. It is the cheapest edition and it was made for this.

Homeschool

One book per topic, in the child's own reading level and language.

Party & gift

A joke book with the birthday child's favourite subject on the cover.

Client work

Make them for other people and charge for it. The licence covers it in writing.

Ten languages

The same book again in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and six more.

Three editions

One afternoon of writing becomes three listings at three price points.

So instead of making one book, you build a collection — from the same keyword, in the same afternoon.

The same book, two ways

From Keyword To Finished Book. Faster.

Both columns end with the same two PDFs. The difference is how much of it you do by hand — and whether you could do it again tomorrow without thinking.

What It Does, And What It Does Not Do

Because every sale here is final, you deserve to know the limits before you pay, not after. Buyers who find them out afterwards always do.

It does

  • Plan a 24- to 60-page kids joke and activity book from one keyword, and write every prompt you need
  • Keep thirty pages in one style by sending the full style lock with every image
  • Assemble your finished images into KDP-sized interior and cover PDFs, in the browser
  • Build both PDFs inside your own browser — your artwork never touches my server, only the book plan is saved to your account

It does not

  • Write or draw anything itself. ChatGPT does that, in your account, on your plan. A 30-page book is 35 messages.
  • Guarantee spelling inside the artwork. The prompt asks ChatGPT to check every word and it still slips. You regenerate that page.
  • Let you move things around a page. It is not a layout tool. Use artwork-only mode if you want that control.
  • Submit to KDP for you, or check KDP's rules on your behalf.
  • Make anything other than kids joke and activity books. One deck, one kind of book, done properly.

Works in any current desktop browser. Needs your own ChatGPT account with image generation — that part is not included.

P.S. — The part that costs you an afternoon was never writing the jokes. It is deciding what goes on page 8, keeping page 30 looking like page 1, and working out a spine width to four decimal places. That is the part this removes.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does GiggleDeck use AI?
No. It never calls an AI service and never sends your data anywhere. It plans the book, writes every prompt, keeps your place and builds the PDFs. ChatGPT does the writing and drawing — in your account, on your plan.
Which ChatGPT plan do I need?
Any plan that can generate images — that is the only requirement. The free plan works, with one honest catch: free accounts get a small number of pictures a day, and once you hit that ceiling ChatGPT makes you wait several hours before it will draw again. You still finish the book, you just finish it across a few days, a handful of pages at a time. On a paid plan there is no such stop-and-wait — the allowance is high enough to draw a whole 30-page book in one sitting, cover included. The one thing that will not work is text-only access: you get every word and none of the pages. Image limits change often, so check what your own plan gives you before you start.
How long does one book take?
35 messages for a 30-page book at the default settings — 3 for the words, 1 to lock the style, 30 pages and 1 cover. About an hour of copying and pasting while ChatGPT does the slow part. A 24-page book is 29 messages; the largest, a 60-page one, is 70.
Will all 30 pages really look the same?
Far more than they would by hand, because every image prompt carries the whole style lock — palette to the hex value, line weight, border, lettering. When the chat drifts, the next prompt pulls it back.
What about spelling mistakes in the pictures?
They happen. The prompt tells ChatGPT to read every word back before finishing, and it still slips sometimes. You regenerate that one page. Never publish a page with a typo in the artwork.
Can I make more than one book?
As many as you like. Nothing is counted or metered. Change the keyword and press Build.
Do I have to install anything?
No. There is nothing to set up. GiggleDeck runs on my hosting, not yours. You pay, you get a login, you open it in your browser and it is ready — no folder to upload, no server to rent, no PHP version to check, no database to create and no monthly hosting bill going to anyone. Any current desktop browser will do. The only account you need of your own is ChatGPT, for the pictures.
Are the PDFs ready for KDP?
They are the right sizes: interior at your trim, cover at the wraparound width with the spine computed from your page count. Always check them in KDP's own previewer before ordering a proof.
Can I sell the books I make?
Yes. The licence covers publishing and selling every book you produce, on KDP, Etsy or anywhere else. You may not resell or redistribute the app itself.
Will it make anything other than kids joke books?
Not this deck. It plans one kind of book and does it properly.
Can I get a refund?
No — every sale is final. The moment you pay, your account opens and the entire thing is in front of you: every prompt, every blueprint, every edition, nothing held back and nothing drip-fed over weeks. There is no trial period to run out, because you see all of it on day one — and once you have read a prompt you cannot un-read it. That is the honest reason I cannot take it back and return the money.

That is exactly why this page spends so long on what GiggleDeck does not do. Read that section before you pay, and ask me anything it does not answer — I would far rather talk you out of a bad fit than take a payment you regret.

If something is technically broken, that is not a refund question. Write to support and it gets fixed.
